Sony lifted the lid off of a new Sony Ericsson phone on Wednesday night.
Wait -- what's that you say? It's a Walkman MP3 player? It's a digital camera? The Sony Ericsson W810 is all three, and it grabbed my attention with it's slick on-screen interface and black-and-orange case.
The phone is a global quad-band with EDGE and Bluetooth. The Walkman plays MP3s on an expandable memory stick (up to 2GB), the device plays video and the autofocus camera shoots at 2 megapixels.
Now I'm not going to throw out my iPod just yet, but I do need a new phone. The price hasn't been set, but I'm told that it'll land somewhere in the $400 range. No carrier deals have been made yet, but I might take another look at this puppy when it lands on store shelves in a few weeks.
Still, I'm not sure about that price. What do you think: Does the W810 sound nice?
